DECEMBER 2008 NEWSLETTER

Dear Hope Partners and Friends in Jesus:

RobertChristmas time again, such a delightful time of year, as we remember the birth of Jesus. We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Blessed New Year.

Instead of using the usual Christmas scriptures, I want to share with you a verse with the real reason that Jesus came into this world. It is found in Luke 19:10—“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” This must always remain our main goal – to reveal to a lost and dying world that Jesus has come to deliver them from their sins and to set them free.

This has been a very busy year for us as a ministry, as we have continued to go to the prisons and jail on a regular basis. What a privilege to be able to present the gospel to the prisoners and see so many of them respond to the Word and accept Jesus as their Savior and make Him the Lord of their life. We have seen many of them receive physical healing as well. God is so good!

Audrey. The jail ministry remains a special blessing to Sister Audrey and the other teachers who work with her. Each class is a challenge to us but also such a great blessing as we see so many of the ladies turn their lives around to the Lord. As we teach each class, it is always such a blessing to see one or two of the ladies who become spiritual leaders in their pod and help the other girls come together for prayer and Bible study every day. Some of these leaders will be forever changed by the Lord as they continue to grow in the Lord.

We want to encourage you, as we come to the end of the year, to help us financially to be able to continue going to the prisons to give them the Good News, and then to see God change their lives. We ask you to give abundantly this month especially for those of you who need tax-deductions, as we are a tax exempt ministry. Our financial year will end with the gifts that we receive by December 31st. Any gift received after that will be recorded in the 2009 receipts.

The first ministry meeting/pot luck supper will be held at our home in Porter on January 3rd at 6:30 PM. Please call us if you need directions - 281.354.6232.

May you all be blessed during this Christmas season as we all celebrate Jesus’ birth and say with us—“Happy Birthday Jesus!”

Love to you all in Jesus’ Wonderful Name,
Robert and Audrey Dubois
